Registration Policies

Registration Cancellation Policy

All registration cancellations must be in writing and received by Thursday, October 20, 2022. Please submit cancellations request here. A full refund of the conference fee, minus a $25 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date. No refunds will be granted for requests postmarked after the deadline. 

Payment Policy: Check, ACH and Wire

The option to select check, ACH or wire payment will be removed on Friday, October 7, 2022. After this date, only credit cards will be accepted. If paying housing reservation AND registration by check, ACH or wire, payment must be received by Wednesday, October 12, 2022. If paying for housing reservations only by check, ACH or wire, payment must be received by Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Substitution Policy

Substitution for a conference registration is permitted prior to the conference and on-site. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution as well as updating contact information.  Please submit substitution requests here.

Child Policy

Fully vaccinated children may accompany registered attendees by completing an accompanied minor registration form and providing proof of vaccination. Children will register at the on-site registration counter when arriving in Anaheim. Registration for children does not include the meal plan. Unvaccinated children or those not eligible for vaccination, will not be permitted access to ABRCMS or any affiliated events. Onsite childcare will be available, including a designated location for both vaccinated and unvaccinated children. Information to schedule childcare will be available in August 2022. All children over 2-years old will be required to wear a mask. Children are not permitted in the Exhibit and Poster Hall during move-in or move-out hours.

Badge Policy

All ABRCMS attendees are required to wear conference badges on-site at all times. Badges give you access to sessions, exhibit halls, workshops, meals, and social activities. It is your responsibility to ensure you have your badge at all times. There is a charge of $25 for badge replacement. No exceptions will be made.

Photo Policy

By registering for ABRCMS, you agree to allow ASM/ABRCMS to use any photos taken of you during the conference in news media, websites, publications, articles, marketing pieces, etc. In order to protect data shared during presentations, no photos may be taken of posters or scientific session slides at ABRCMS.

Attendee List and Future Emails

In order to provide attendees with valuable, relevant resources and networking opportunities, ABRCMS gives attendees the choice to opt-in to receive emails from ABRCMS or relevant ASM Education programs.

Health & Safety Policies

Participants must submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to receive an ABRCMS 2022 badge and access to meeting venues. ASM will use a third-party collection site, SafeAccess, for registrants to upload vaccination documentation prior to attending the meeting. An invitation to upload vaccine documents will be issued to registrants in September 2022. This vaccine upload instructions will be sent in a separate email from SafeAccess. Participants are required to show verification documentation from the third-party collection site to gain entry to the convention center and proceed to ABRCMS 2022 registration. Individuals must pick up their own badge at ABRCMS 2022 registration. A valid government-issued ID, passport or driver's license, with a photo, is required to receive a badge. Code of Conduct

ASM is committed to providing an environment that encourages the free expression and exchange of scientific ideas and promotes equal opportunities and respectful treatment for all participants.  All conference registrants must agree to the ASM Code of Conduct as well as the Health and Safety and Registration Policies as a condition of registration.
