Poster and Oral Presentation Judging

Dates: November 5 - 8, 2008

Eligibility:

• Postdoctoral scientist, faculty member or program director, and
• Active researcher in one of the ten scientific disciplines represented at the conference, and
• Willing to pay all costs associated with attending the conference. *

The ABRCMS poster and oral program, the keystone of the annual conference, provides a hands-on experience for students to practice their presentation skills and demonstrate their understanding of their research projects. Judges will be assigned approximately 3 poster or oral presentations per session. There are 9 poster/oral sessions throughout the conference.

All presentations are evaluated using common criteria and indicators of success. By using the provided rubric, judges are asked to score each criterion on a scale of 1 to 5. Each presentation is assigned to three judges. An average of the three scores is calculated.
